I have a question about the MS KB4467240 .NET Framework update Nov 2018 on Win 7

Is this a preview or not? Or did MS made some kind of typo? Or is it me?

    Let's have a look:

First look at the MS Catalog
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4467240
    It looks like it is:
    2018-11 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2 for Windows 7 (KB4467240)

    But now look at
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-quality-rollups-net-framework-3-5-1-to-4-7-2
There KB4467240 seems to be a preview.
(it is that one I get offered on my Win 7 Pro 64-bit)

    Am I now misunderstanding things?

    Hi FanJ,

The URL you offered, that has 'preview' in it,
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4467240/november-2018-preview-of-quality-rollups-net-framework-3-5-1-to-4-7-2
directs me to this page and URL, that says November 2018 Security and Quality Rollups for .NET Framework:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4467240/november-2018-security-and-quality-rollups-net-framework-3-5-1-to-4-7

Was Windows Update "Check for updates" (in Dutch: Naar updates zoeken) ran since the moment the November 13 updates were offered? (For the Netherlands, that was November 13, 19:00.)
If the last time Check for updates ran was before that time, Windows Update would show the Preview, not the Security and Quality Rollup.
If Check for updates ran or is run after the moment the November 13 updates were offered (for the Netherlands November 13, 19:00), the November 2018 Security and Quality Rollups for .NET Framework should be offered.

Also, at the November 2018 Security and Quality Rollups for .NET Framework (4467240) page, the notice says:
"This update is included in the Security and Quality Rollup that's dated November 13, 2018. This update was previously released as part of the Preview of Quality Rollup on October 23, 2018."
So, it was previously released as part of the Preview of Quality Rollup on October 23, 2018, but now it is offered as Security and Quality Rollup.

    Hi @Stupendous Man,

    Thank you for your reply!

It was after midnight (14 Nov) here in the Netherlands that I was installing MS updates (first the IE Cumulative and then the Security Only, both manually downloaded via the Catalog) and then checking via WU for the rest (first the Office 2010 updates). Then I looked at the Nov 2018 .Net Framework update as offered in WU. Usually that is the order and way in which I do the MS updates.
I would have sworn that the Nov 2018 .NET Framework I got offered, was the Preview. But really proving it I cannot anymore at this moment (I wished I took more and better screenshots).
I just checked again via WU and now I got it indeed as a "normal" update and not as a Preview.
I wonder whether Microsoft has changed that article KB4467240 in the meanwhile so it is no more showing as Preview. I see that that article has last been changed on 14 Nov 2018. Maybe that could explain it. Or maybe timezone differences. Or maybe I am wrong and/or misunderstanding it all.
    Anyways, I installed it now.

    Thanks again Stupendous Man !!

PS: On hindsight maybe I should have posted this in the thread https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...al-patches-for-windows-7-and-8.387895/page-27

Yes, I thought about that, too.
However, to my recollection, on both my Windows 7 systems, both Windows Update and the KB-article showed "Security and Quality Rollup", not "Preview", since November 13, 19:00+ (19:10, 19:30, 19:45), in the Netherlands, UTC+01:00. But I cannot rule out that I was mistaken, somehow.
Good that you see the correct information, now, in both the KB-article and Windows Update.
