Hi all, This is not an issue, but a general encryption question. I have a laptop with an SSD encrypted with BitLocker using TPM protection running Windows 10 and my question is, will BitLocker ask for the Recovery Key when my laptop's battery is fully discharged or drained out and then recharging it again? Thanks in advance!
Bitlocker/TPM will trigger Recovery when the chain of checks is altered on boot (hardware and software). There is a list of items checked, but I don't recall battery status being one of them, and indeed, on a desktop with unplanned power outage, the recovery process isn't triggered. I'm not clear what scenario you actually have, and whether you do not have the Recovery Key?
