CCleaner v5.47.6716 announced. https://forum.piriform.com/topic/52642-ccleaner-v5476716/ It remains to be seen how this one behaves (or doesn't) As I write this 5.47 still isn't on the builds page but is on the main Piriform site
Up on builds page now https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds Also they say this, https://forum.piriform.com/topic/52643-ccleaner-v5476716/?tab=comments#comment-299902

CCleaner internet access is blocked but I had no problems installing v5.47.6717. The Privacy setting remained unchecked.
The bug is that the arrow setting cannot be deselected. If you do not open CCleaner as an administrator.
CCleaner Is Partially Broken in Windows 10 October 2018 Update October 5, 2018 https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...lly-broken-in-windows-10-october-2018-update/
As does 5.44.6577. I'm using the Winapp2.ini enhancement which might make a difference in cleaning up these files.
Same, but I don't think it has anything to do with what is reported as broken from above, docs and recent files stuff is built into CCleaner.
CCleaner v5.48.6834 released ..Added workaround for cleaning Edge while in the ‘suspended’ state on Windows 10, build 1809. This workaround is temporary while we consider a more permanent solution. ..Fixed cleaning of Edge cookies in Windows 10 ..Fixed a bug where cleaning Firefox Internet History would corrupt the profile https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds
It looks like Piriform are going to add 'features' in for certain people when they download it. https://www.ccleaner.com/news/release-announcements/2018/10/25/ccleaner-v5486834
i was updating CCleaner yesterday using Ucheck . The update was unsuccessful and my Avira alerted me to a detection. The file in question was rk_E748.tmp.exe which was located in C:\Users\Mick\AppData\local\temp folder. I restored the file and uploaded to virustotal where is was only detected by 3/68 . It stated the file belonged to CCleaner Eset saying Win32/Bundled.Toolbar.Google.D potentially unsafe. The file was submitted to Avira who said the detection was correct. I uninstalled CCleaner and downloaded again from Filehippo , when installing there was no alerts and no bundled surprises Does anyone else have rk_E748.tmp.exe in the location mentioned . Cheers
Confused! For a week or more every time I run CC, v5.48.6834 (64-bit) it brings up the new "Quick Clean" even though takes forever to load. Last night back to loading the regular. Still takes a while since I use enhancer too. Anyway, just now back to the new version! So what gives? thank you!
You can switch to custom clean instead via Options- settings. Quick clean from what I can gather is a sort of dumbed down clean offered to ''randomly selected users'' as a Feature Preview of 5.48 You get no say in being selected however you can opt not to use it. However if you had ‘Advanced Results’ or ‘File List’ selected as your cleaning results preference, your home screen will default to ‘Custom Clean’, not ‘Quick Clean’
