    Guys, why don't you use request logger, the one of powerful yet user-friendly feature of uBO?
    @Rasheed187 , @1PW , @Nitty Kutchie
    Open the logger (next to dashboard button) and (re)load the page, then see what is blocked when your counter increase. It shows all requests going in background, but colors those blocked with red so it's easy to find.

    @Brummelchen
    Almost any list occasionally makes FPs. Ofc some lists have many and others few, but if it was the 1st FP you got in that filter (tho IDK the filter) there's no reason to remove it. Just make a exception rule for the FP, uBO allows us to make it very easily. There can be many ways, but my preferred method is firstly narrow down the culprit via dynamic filter - if FP disappear when I allowed a domain, that domain should include culprit. Then revert the dynamic rule, clear cache and open the logger, reload the page and filter the logger via the name of the domain. Clicking the 3rd column show you what rule in what filter blocked the request, and the next column allow you to directly make dynamic or static rule for that, either block rule or allow rule. You may need to make some tweaks for the rule not to be too specific (i.e. replace some param to *). In some cases you may need some trial & error but mostly it's very smooth.

    Note, knowledge of HTML/JS is not mandatory (unless you wanna do some advanced things such as bypassing advanced anti-adblock). uBO logger is well designed to be used by newbies.

    Benefits:
    -You can now handle almost all FPs by yourself (FP by cosmetic filter needs bit diff steps than above, tho not much).
    -You can also block most ads/trackings escaped from subscribed lists (make block rule instead of allow rule. Again, cosmetic rule is diff).
    -You'll have much better understanding what websites are doing.

    Actually it CAN. In most cases you don't need to play w/ My Filters and for some easy cases it's just a few clicks to make an exception. Well, but at least it's better to understand what the wildcard "*" is, 'cause often you need to replace too specific param w/ * (still no need to visit My Filters). You even don't need to understand filter syntax (ofc if you understand, it's even better).

    Maybe images explain it better? (It's an example, not a real FP.)

    To clarify, I just wondered if the problem was caused because uBlock needs to continuously block stuff and I wondered if that caused the slow/choppy loading. I know it's normal for the counter to increase. But you guys are not seeing this problem, so I think the problem is probably related to something else.

    It's for sure one of the dumbest and most bloated designed website out there. If anything, uBlock actually makes it quicker to load, but like I said perhaps it needs to block too much. I also still use Ghostery so I should experiment a bit.

    My approach for handling websites like that or similar is simple and effective: I look elsewhere.

    Use the 'I don't care about cookies' extension is better

    On many sites it does. Note that you need not enable the Cookiemonster list if you're already using Fanboy's Annoyance List as it is included. That said, using it in tandem with the "I don't care about cookie" list doesn't hurt.

    I haven't used ABP in years. But the fact alone that
    is a no-go. Whereas the logger in uBO is simply excellent. Let alone Dynamic Filtering, URL Filtering, strict blocking, script filtering etc. etc. - features that simply do not exist in ABP.

    This is usually not needed at all as the filterlists are automatically updated every few days.

    I'm afraid that Yahoo Finance still has got the best content. But it's the stupid JavaScript and dynamic loading what makes it bloated.

    The problem is that ABP is a freaking joke. They still allow animated ads.

    LOL. Definitely.

    My response:

    'Please disable your pointless, annoying, intrusive, bandwidth consuming and irritating ads designed to maximise the monetisation of your website'

    Yep. We owe a great debt of support and appreciation for those superior extensions (developers) who are heavily tasked with doing their utmost best on an almost ongoing basis in order to free up user page results-viewing-reading without losing/wasting time having those obnoxious interruptions always defacing sites meant to be viewed in reasonable peace and privacy.

    @Dragon1952 - I was able to find the following explanation of the author's intentions, hope you find it helpful.

    Interesting new resource: http://www.spam404.com. From the author:

    We are mainly blacklisting websites that are tricking users into completing offers by advertising content that is very desirable but the website doesn’t actually have the content and it is just to make the end user complete an offer. From our intense research these kind of websites are not getting enough attention in terms of blacklisting and we are the only website to offer such a blacklist for these kind of websites but we believe it is in the best interests of all internet users to have these kind of websites blacklisted.
    We are also blacklisting other abusive websites including phishing and get rich quick scams.
