Dad blasted Grrr. I knew it was crazy of them to mess up what WAS a really orderly news service from Google. It's become a royal pain on this end ever since and forced a change of browsers just to get the page to settle down long enough to read a paragraph. And THATS why Android users are feeling the ills of the increased background data movements.
Google have been pushing this for a while if you use News & Whether app, I've been ignored. But they finally stopped providing news for the old app. I switched to 3rd party app w/ least permission and no ads. Who's willing to use such an ad-driven, permission greedy app?
I been using Android devices for years and I didn't even know that Google had a news app. The only Google apps I use other than the Play Store, are Chrome and Translate. I also use Gmail a few times a year.
