Does anybody have any experience of these SSDs. They seem good value for money but I can't find out much about them.
I can't find much information about the brand. Typically, cheap Chinese SSDs are unreliable. There are plenty of positive reviews at that Amazon link and both ReviewMeta and Fakespot show that the majority of the reviews shouldn't be fake ones. However, when you read the critical reviews, you will see reports of early failure. https://www.amazon.co.uk/DREVO-X1-2...ll_reviews&filterByStar=critical&pageNumber=1 Considering how much the price of brand name SSDs is falling, I would highly recommend buying a brand name one, as it should be much more reliable.
You're right. I've learnt the hard way that the axiom "buy cheap, buy twice" doesn't apply just to wives .

Thanks pandlouk, but the reviews on Amazon are far from positive about these drives. I think I might wait until Black Friday and see what that throws up.
The united kingdom amazon has very few reviews. the american amazon has a lot more. https://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Memory-Burst-120GB-Internal/dp/B07573JBW3 I have installed 5-6 of those the last 1.5 year for friends and none gave them problems (until now). The only thing I do not like about those is that their external enclosure is cheap plastic material. ps. never trust an ssd or an hdd until is used for at least 4-6 weeks.
