I have virtual box installed on a windows XP machine it will not run properly... I get an error VERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND... If I unplug the network cable Virtual box starts and runs... Have tried reverting a disk image back as far as January 2018 still not working... It is trying to connect to 205.185.216.10 or 72.21.81.240 on startup... The Installer is also trying to connect to 205.185.216.10 when it is run... The only problem seems to be with virtual box not starting up properly... Thanks
according to this it doesn't support XP as a host anymore: https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch01.html#hostossupport You can run XP as virtual machine though. You may have to download an older (less secure) version for XP to work. In the notes it also says: Support for Windows XP was removed with VirtualBox 5.0
