    Or we have the data, however, it's encrypted with end to end encryption.

    This is why you should be careful,,, especially careful,,,of what you do online. But I doubt the police will be able obtain such data from Apple unless they are investigating a particular user for some serious criminal offense like bomb threats or illicit porn. This kind of information does not surprise me whatsoever...it just more proof you need to be especially careful of what you do and say online, otherwise you might get into legal trouble.

    I think what Apple is doing is a smart move. I believe, Apple is trying to strike a balance between user privacy, and cooperating with law enforcement investigations.
