What's the chance your anti virus stops and 1500 pieces of malware get on your computer and then it starts working again and catches and removes them all? That's how they test anti virus on you tube which to me doesn't seem like a real test of how good the tested anti virus is..Shouldn't these tests be ignored?
what is the chance of your car driving at a wall at 100km/h? cause that's how cars get tested for safety rating.... if an AV can withstand the worst possible outcome, it will withstand the normal one..
This is how I used to test some AV's until I got away from them completely. Seen some rough-stuff malware attack with a vengeance after-turning off AV-turning them loose-then turning AV back on to measure if they really had what it takes to stand off and bite back. Wasn't a fair test actually but it worked as a somewhat compelling argument either for or against the AV's ability to withstand such an ordeal. Needless to say some malware already had the AV in their pre-programmed list of attack coordinates and prevented the AV from a restart at all.
