Privacy Possum is Privacy Badger on Steroids

EASTER, each to his own But as an economist I'd say that using those add-ons (which overlap considerably) in parallel provides a marginal utility which is tiny at best - while the marginal cost of debugging which one is the culprit if a site does not work as expected raises dramatically.

For example, using Privacy Badger and Ghostery together with uB0 provides not really added value as you can easily add more filter lists to uB0 or even use its Dynamic Filtering. And using Privacy Possum and Canvas Blocker together with each using its own anti-fingerprinting measures seems to me problematic.

But again, each to his own

By the way it was overlooked the mention of ScriptSafe-now that one is a real iron fist. Needs plenty of attention.

However this is a useful topic especially for newcomers to these and Privacy Possum seems to compliment others very well.

The extensions that overlap (one's I been testing) are quite simple to sort out since they raise a red flag if another competing component has assumed the capture or redirect as they say.

 

I couldn,t find any specs that are required for this app...IE..what versions of Firefox will it work on, and what version of OS will it work on??

It works fine on FF 61. What version of FF are you using? I can't comment on whether or not OS is a factor.

 

Yes the link you provided,I had looked there..(thanks) but did not find any relevant info in regards to my query...As an aside not very fond of GitHubs pages...
Firefox 52.9 ESR is my browser,and my OS is between XP and 7

 

This hasn't been updated in almost a year. Anyone knows if they are planning on doing so eventually?

 

I've just tried to download Privacy Possum but Chrome Web Store could not find it.
