Lately I have been using a TL-R600VPN with my single computer. Using it only with single computer to connect to web. Did not set up VPN. When I check my IP without router I receive a geolocation as it should be. With router the location is about 60 miles away. It is always this way. Why
A wise choice. Everyone should be behind a router, even if only 1 computer. Not sure why this is happening but frankly, I would prefer the 60 miles away report. I suspect this has something to do with how your PoP is being reported. Your PoP (point of presence) is where your ISP connects you to the Internet backbone. For my case, that is 10 miles away in the next town over.
Sounds like that's your VPN router's remote gateway server IP. You should see that IP address in your Status page.
