Do you have Eset installed? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-working/500ac970-f9af-4b2b-8eaf-76e6c30cf556
@Krusty: No ESET here. Thanks for the link. There doesn't seem to be an answer there, or I don't know how to see it. @Rules: Thanks. I'll try that, but any idea what it has to do with feedback?
Just checked. In Diagnosis and Feedback there are options Basic and Full. No option to turn it off. Mine is set to Basic.
The 'never' option has been moved to the very, very bottom of the Diagnostics and Feedback page. So easy to miss.
It seems related to telemetry, and you should disable "device information" in scheduled tasks. rules.
Ok. Thanks. I'll probably do it later on today. But that's a funny thing to do where it seems to me it's some sort of M$ bug. Will see tomorrow.
i forget to mention that the never feedback is not possible with consumer versions of windows 10. this should did the trick : https://winaero.com/blog/locked-diagnostic-feedback-frequency-windows-10-version-1803/ rules.
The 'never feedback' was a bug introduced in April and later fixed in one of the cumulatives (and pushed down to the bottom of the page so no=one spots it !). https://news.softpedia.com/news/win...dback-frequency-can-t-be-changed-520921.shtml
That worked. I disabled the task and the error is gone for the past 3 days BTW I use Windows 10 pro - 1803 at this time. And the "Never" feedback was way down at the bottom, but it didn't help me.
This is not the same option and does nothing similar as the "Diagnostic Data" option that is on top of that page and that is the crux of all users of non-enterprise/education-versions.
I didn't say it was the same. act8192 said he couldn't find the 'never' option, I merely directed him to its new location.
What is devicecensus.exe on Windows 10 and why does it need Internet connectivity? https://www.ghacks.net/2019/09/23/w...0-and-why-does-it-need-internet-connectivity/
Thank you. Good link. I'm currently on 1809. Something enabled the device task which I disabled previously. It runs daily. I haven't seen any errors in a loooong time. Just the M$ never ending snooping.
