I opened the settings on Windows 8 just to see. Some are not useful like I choose to like to have My Computer icon on the desktop and some others. But what a boatload of settings. Do you use this too? What's any different with this one than some other's (say WPD) that attempt to close off certain privacy-focused channels?
Isn't that special BDIS2018 blocks this download instantly. In fact in ~3yrs using BDIS I've NEVER seen it block ANYTHING faster. Got it excluded & running. Pleasantly surprised it's for W7 too. Choose safe stuff gonna reboot now.
i can say i've used every one of those win 10 privacy tools out there and they brought nothing but trouble. maybe not instantly but sooner or later they caused minor or major issues. and to top it all, some of the changes they make get reverted with every new ms update. my ¢2.
That's the problem, it's really sad that we have to use these kind of tools to stop M$ from tracking us, in the first place.
Amen to that. It's despicable that this current makeup of Microsoft has turned against it's user's/customer's privacy as well as forcing things like that onto the O/S without choice. Windows user's over the years have been pretty generous and tolerant with them (as if we had much of a choice) and many commercial/freeware developer's software innovations actually improved on their series popularity, but this is the thanks they get in return.
Great software, I wish it had a button to select to select all green options and buttons for higher 'paranoid' levels.
