Hi @ Wilders Just started using Sylpheed and quite like it, however I have hit a snag. I have received an email (Gmail Account) to which I replied, when I pressed SEND I got an error message: "Code conversion error. Can't convert the character encoding of the message body from UTF8 to ISO-8859-1 Send it as UTF8 anyway?" I clicked yes to send as UTF 8. The mail appeared to send. I do not understand the error message or the references to encoding. Never seen it before with any other mail client. Question is how do I stop this message reoccurring? Thanks Terry
This may (?) be of some help: http://www.sraoss.jp/pipermail/sylpheed/2013-January/005473.html http://www.sraoss.jp/pipermail/sylpheed/2013-January/005479.html Or search elsewhere on that board.
Hi BobD Thanks very much for that. Seems very much my problem. I made some changes as suggested in the first post. So now I wait to see If it has stopped the Code error. Thank you again terry
