Correct. Eddie (the Air client) supports it along with many of AIR servers now adding tls-crypt into their VPN channel. I am an old time holdout so I still have IPV6 disabled at system root. I can only report what is buzzing in the forums about IPV6.

Yeah. I'm trying Viscosity with it, and so far it's working very well. Just make sure if you're not using the app that Mulklvad provides that you rig a killswitch and prevent DNS leaks.

AirVPN has no support for iOS. Neither does Mullvad.
iVPN is good. I use it on my laptops.

You can use the OpenVPN app on iOS with both AirVPN and Mullvad.

There may not be an IOS app, but there is a guide that shows how to use Mullvad on IOS.

OK, so OpenVPN Connect will work with any OpenVPN-type VPN, right?

AFAIK, yes. It's official client for Android and iOS.

    Hello,
FYI: AirVPN also has a guide here: Using AirVPN with iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod)

    Hi Robert,

About a year ago, I was contributing to a thread in which you too was very active. I believe it was mirimir's epic review of VPN providers. Anyway, I'm again on the lookout for a replacement to VyprVPN with whom I've just terminated by account. IVPN is now looking particularly attractive with their Wirecutter deal. Will investigate further.

I upgraded to an ASUS RT-AC86U for just that reason. From what I understand its one of the only routers with enough power to run beyond about 60mb. I have a 100mb download and get 95+ with iVPN connected. Previous router could only manage mid 50's (older ASUS).

I'm on my second year with iVPN and couldn't be happier. Rock solid connection, good speed as noted, and excellent support.

Yes, on wimpy routers, strong encryption limits throughput. The CPU just can't handle it.

That's one reason why I like using pfSense on low-end PCs. If you use a server-grade NIC, with its own CPU, there's less load on the system CPU. And if you need way more than 100 Mbps, you can also use a motherboard with (say) an i7 and cryptoprocessor.

I am happy to report that iVPN battery drain issue on iOS seems to have been resolved.

Hey, JPC. I remember you and the thread. If you do decide to use IVPN, hope you got the discount. They even allowed me to pay in 2 installments.
