    Thanks all for the info.
Thanks for the tip on OSArmor. I'm currently running WSA (which is super light), but I might add OSArmor when the new version comes out of beta.

licenses are +3/-1 years, aka your 2018 license will function with up to 2021 when it comes out, and works with 2017 too.

    Hi
I have activated KTS 2019 last week with a license for 2 years purchased with a box. On the box the validity date is "until the end of 2020".
I have a question because I have another box with a license for 1 year and the same validity "until the end of 2020". Does that mean that this license will not work anymore the 01 January 2021 even if I will activate it before the 31 December 2020 ?

once a license is activated on mykaspersky, it will be frozen there, unless ofcourse it is inserted in a product, in which case the license activates and the time starts ticking.
the validity is probably about the last time you can activate the key in a product or mykaspersky.
i would suggest adding it to mykaspersky and let it sit there till you need it, at least that's how i have mine.

Thank you very much @mekelek :)
When a license is added on "My Kaspersky", and will this reserve license be activated automatically at the end of the validity period of the current license?

if i understand you correctly, the question is that if the "frozen" license gets automatically activated when the validity period ends?
in that case, I do not know, but most likely it doesn't. however this is a guess from me, maybe someone else knows it exactly.

Is it just that I'm unlucky with Kaspersky, or are they still in the habit of releasing bug-riddled software? I was on KIS 2018 until a few days ago, and that refused to auto update ever, I had to manually update every day. Completely removed it with kav removal tool, installed the shining new KIS 2019 and after the 3rd day, auto update is sticking at 96%, only solution... manual update only, wtf? From looking around I'm not the only one. Not to mention messing up Firefox, forcing me to have to go into ff settings to fix a KIS problem. I'm undecided if Kaspersky or MS are the worst for releasing software not fit for purpose.

I've had problems with their software when I tested it in past, but no problems so far with 2018 last few releases and 2019 release.

It could be both, but I've have had no issues with 2019 on 2 PCs. Might be a conflict with some other software.

been running KIS since 2017 version and haven't had any of these happen to me.
at this point, if you have these "bugs" with both versions, maybe you should consider the problem being something on your system and do a fresh format?

Some users are having this issues You have commented (updating process stuck), if You are in W10, just open Edge browser before run Kaspersky updating, it seems this "temporal workaround" is working for many...

I hope an upcoming Patch B for K2019 soon...

I'm running 2 KTS2019 and 2 KFA2019 in different systems W10, W7, 2 of them in VMWare virtual machines, and not getting any of those issues...

has anyone noticed Application control putting everything to Untrusted in 2019 even though it has rich KSN presence in Patch A?
and if you did, did it get fixed in Patch B? I should just install it and try myself but too lazy rn :D

I've not had this issue with any version. Are you sure you didn't change the default in the settings?

it's set to auto assign based on KSN.
I installed it on my VM but it doesn't want to update for the love of god.

Might be the same problem. Maybe it isn't able to reach the update server, and also can't reach the KSN server. Is the network on the VM Bridged, NAT, or shared with the host only? These are VMWare options, not sure what you're running.
