    Good point.

Give them credit for "fixing" this.

The privacy tab for defraggler (2.22.995) in options doesn't have an opt-out and specifically refers to ccleaner ... LOL

There is nothing to opt-out of with defraggler, if you have a firewall, you will see it makes no attempt at any connection unless you have "check for newer version" enabled... LOL

I wasn't talking about phoning home. My point was that the added Defraggler privacy tab in the last version is not about Defraggler, but pertains to CCleaner.

Anyone having a problem with downloading CCleaner Slim 5.43.6522? Seems my browser Firefox is not allowing me to download it because of malware? Regardless I have tried a couple of times unsuccessfully.

I could download it with no problems. Though, I don't have built-in malware protection enabled.

Also wouldn't download for me in FF yesterday, but it's OK now. May have been server dependent.

I also was able to download it today without any difficulty. I suppose either CCleaner or CCleaner Slim would be okay but VirusTotal always finds something with CCleaner and doesn't with CCleaner Slim. I am sure it has something to do with the toolbar but still...

CCleaner keeps bloating and bloating. Now you get a subscription reminder.. why do you need to subscribe to a simple basic cleaning program?

Not long ago, the downloads were 3-5mb. And now they're 15-16mb.. So anything you saved in cleaning is now consumed by useless additions.like telemetry and spyware.

It's been said to use the portable one. No bloat, no extras. :cautious:
