I am considering a new computer. If I have information, files, apps info, on this old one can I just copy the files from an external HD or thumb drive? OS W10
    Thanks, Jerry

What do you mean "information, files, apps info"? You want to copy/sync the applications and the settings between the two computers?

I would like to put everything on my old system on the new one. I realize that programs like AV cannot be transferred on a thumb drive but everything else, yes.

    Old drive in new computer.

Easy, just done it. Register W10 with your MS acount and activation is easy.

Thanks, XenMan. I will give it a shot when I need it.
