I've been using uBlock Origin since, 1 or 2 years now? Can't remember. Point is I've always had this same issue every time I want to update the lists:



Needless to say, ANNOYING.
Sometimes clicking two times works out, sometimes clicking 7+ times won't.
This list is the only one problematic others are fine.

I use to update 4 Chrome profiles/accounts on each machine.

 

at least i dont care, 1.000 of 200.000 entries here. compared with hosts lists - 1.000 of 70.000.

when disabled # changes in 1 (!)
before: 213.661
after: 213.660

in per cent: 99,9% redundant which means futile, stays disabled.

I can't answer this question. Just FYI, I have disabled that list as it is integrated in Steven Black's hosts file which is a very well maintained list. Dan Pollocks's list, MVPS and yoyo (Peter Lowe's) are also integrated and can be deactivated in uBO if you add that hosts file. Note that various variants are available.

 

This is probably a case of too much bandwidth being used on that server, such that the owner is taking measure to keep his bandwidth cost within what he can afford. We need to respect these limitations, we all benefit from his list at no cost or effort to us.

 

I do entertain adding Steven Black's list to the multi-purpose section -- I had to fix a few details in uBO before I could do so.

 

Thanks for your reply and most likely that's the reason behind my issue. Problem is it happens so often I can't deal with it.
Now's time to change to another list.

well done, it has no advantage when that small as i use it.

 

is there a solution present to avoid overscrolling on techcrunch?

Having a issue trying to whitelist a fav icon here, this is the address of the ico file.

It's being blocked by Fanboys Enhanced Tracking List as shown in screenshot. I did have it working before I did a clean install of win 10 April update but can't for the life of me remember how I did it.

i have similar with a forum here and its also a fanboy list - solution: dont block > cosmetic filter OFF

 

Tried the code & added it to ublocks whitelist but it still not showing the fav icon, attached is what I see in ublock's logger for forums.digitalspy.com

Also tried disabling cosmetic filtering for the site but it still doesn't show the icon, it only shows when I disable ad blocking on the whole site which I don't want to do as there been a few malware ads there in past.

 

Anyone have a filter for the 'adblocker detected' overlay at windowsclub.com ? The element zapper works fine, but when I try to make it permanent via the element picker, I lose the scroll-bar. The zapper seems to work differently because the scroll-bar is left in tact. Is there a way to see what the temporary filter is and make it permanent. Never saw this pop-up until today. I refreshed the third-party filters, but that did not help.
