    Anyone tried this K7 Antivirus? Interesting to see it in first place, care to share some thoughts about K7?

    Mostly what I expected to see. Good to see ESET on the right track again.

    Looking at previous results in performance tests, ESET has been among AVs with smallest footprint most of the time so I wouldn't say it's back on the track. It's where it's always been :)

    This, only AV-TEST's flaky testing makes ESET looks bad. I don't trust them, they seem to be paid by other vendors to make all AVs look good, heck most of the AVs they test show a 4.5-5 star rating in terms of performance anyway, they can't be that close, no way. ESET was the leader for the past few months in terms of performance in AV-Comparatives.

    Hi anon, please note that in October the performance test is done on high-end systems. In April it is done on low-end systems. This is why products might perform differently (depending on how their product works).

    It is one of the lightest antiviruses, but detection rates need to be improved.

    No avast? So is the brand being rolled into AVG, since they are mostly the same program now.

    We didn't need AV-C to know that, just open a folder full of files/exe, and then you see what the term "crawl to death" meant.
    That the only thing WD suxx at.

    I'm surprised Norton performed so badly.

    @IBK ,
    The Avira installation includes the Avira Connect (aka Launcher) on or the AV alone?

    Yes, or copy large amount of data, or install software with large installers. Sloooooooow.

    Windows Defender should have better performance but I don't miss all the ad pop ups, nag screens and stupid launchers. ;)

    I don't like them either. That's one of the reasons I pay for my AV :)

    You can disable all ads in Panda Free and its system impact is extremely minimal.

    They say ESET is both light and good. I haven't used ESET for many years, so I don't know what it is really like these days.

    Panda Free is extremely light, even on computers with slower CPUs.
