Microsoft Launches Windows Defender Extension for Google Chrome

I tried with AG for Mac, can't check it with AG4Win yet.

 

Can't figure out the reason why the extension doesn't block. I thought it was Adguard https filtering. Sometimes when I disable the https filtering it works, other times it doesn't. Perhaps it's a combination between Adguard and ESET.

Either way, thanks @avatar for trying to reproduce the issue. I appreciate it. But I don't think I'm going to bother with the extension anymore.

 

I'm thinking with this extension I will disable Real time scanning in Windows Defender using Group Policy editor in Windows 10 Pro. All the other protection components in the Security Center are enabled.

 

This extension is slowing me down alot, so have to stop using it.

 

Don't bother with tons of extensions, use one or two for anti-phishing, adblocking and eventually fingerprinting noise.

 

It turns out the avast extension was the one slowing me down, not the WD extension.
