i have both but i only use ultraiso - its GUI its much more comfortable and smaller.

ok, poweriso has eliminated itself by using a crypted online installer.

Ahhh, That is why EIS marked PowerISO as a "Potentially unwanted application (www.conceptsrepositorypreset.com)"

Sooooooooooo, I will get an UltraISO license

And because look at this results:

    01PowerISO.jpg 02PowerISO.jpg

How come sites such as Softopedia can affirm

"Softpedia guarantees that PowerISO is 100% Clean, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors.

This software product was tested thoroughly and was found absolutely clean; therefore, it can be installed with no concern by any computer user. However, it should be noted that this product will be retested periodically and the award may be withdrawn, so you should check back occasionally and pay attention to the date of testing shown above." ?:mad::mad:

It's simple. Potentially unwanted software, is not malicious. I use plenty of software that at least one malware scanner will classify as a PUPs.

i only can speak for poweriso v6.9 (latest here), my words above wee concerning 7.1 - no full version download, only a webinstaller - dont like.

but your screenshot is showing wrong. "poweriso5...exe" ist not current and idd contains an AVG.EXE -> AVG installer.
    Poweriso v6 setup are clean.

PUPs are not malicious but is not 100% clean do you get the idea?

For all that loves PUPs apps bad news, years ago Softonic, removes its downloader, so sad hum? :(

I bought an UltraISO license, and I love it <3 :thumb:

PUPs actually are clean. I know this, because I've been testing unwanted software for years. That is why they are called "Potentially Unwanted."

While there are many websites, which provide removal instructions for PUPs and classify them as malicious, they only do so to make money by selling anti-malware software or as an affiliate. There would make no money to me made, if they said they were harmless and could be removed with Add/Remove programs.
