This is great news! Thank you!

That hyperlink leads to avosec_com though. But the link visible in post is correct.

If you upgrade to Premium, you'll get 3 engines from Emsisoft (Bitdefender and A2) and Sophos?

    Clearsight Antivirus 4.1.16 released.

    Desktop version
    http://clearsight.av-updates.net/releases/av/4.1.16/ClearsightAntivirus_4.1.16.exe
    http://clearsight.av-updates.net/releases/av/ClearsightAntivirus_4.1.16.msi

    Sorry about that :)

You get our Sophos full scan engine with spyware PUP removal, Surf guard malicious website shield, instant updates rather than daily. you also get the behavioral engine for detection of unknown (non-signature threats). We dropped Emsisoft as there were to many false positives for our liking. We also have an android product but haven;t released it yet. if anyone wants a look email info@csantivirus.com and i`ll get you it.

    regards

    James

So Free version doesn't include Ad/Spy/PUP detection and Behavior analysis. Thanks for clarifying.

I know youre running a business but IMO you should at least enable Ad/Spy/PUP detection in Free version. When you're online, you usually get Ad/Spy/PUP than anything else. Save Behavior analysis, Web protection and Central management for Premium. :)

That's good news. I'll try the new version when I get a chance and then post again.

There is the Standard Ad/Spyware detection but not the enhanced. I take on board your suggestions, we may look at it.

As far I know, it was solely the Emsisoft engine, but they don't use it anymore.

I think Clearsight Premium uses Sophos + Behavior engine and Surfguard (hphosts) from Emsisoft. I hope @csantivirus will confirm or deny.

@entropism I believe that was Emsisoft's antimalware engine(s). The other components like Mamutu and Surfguard may have been retained. I wonder how effective that combo may be? :D

Interesting GUI, very basic. But what about the privacy, that's my biggest gripe with AV's nowadays.

    Hey Rasheed!

    They have a privacy policy

    https://www.csantivirus.com/privacy-policy

If you have any specific concerns/questions related to privacy I think it's best to contact them?

Roger! I tested it and it was heavy for my liking. Had some issues surfing too. The firewall is a shell for Windows Firewall.

Did you encounter the same issues? How was it for you?

Thanks, but I was speaking of the privacy of the app itself, nowadays almost all AV's are spying on you.

toyed with it in a VM, I find it hard to believe it has Sophos sigs, since both malware and web urls aren't detected by it that are detected by Sophos.
