    No.
    You should check with the Exploit Test Tool (HPA3) - Hollow Process test.
    With my XP I can not verify this specific test:

    Problems not corrected in MBAE 1.12.1.43

    With versions of MBAE 1.12 prior to MBAE 1.12.1.43 I was experiencing issues with Windows 7 and Google Chrome 65.0.3325.162 (when Google Chrome is issues started). These issues still persist with MBAE 1.12.1.43.

    The Windows 7 issue only occurred on a system with an Intel processor after the Microsft January Meltdown fix. It did not occur with a Windows 7 system with an old AMD Sempron 3000+ processor which I assume did not require a Microsoft Meltdown fix.

    Arthi has issued me with a new test version of MBAE to see if the issues with Google Chrome have been solved. I can say that they have and also an issue with Windows XP and batch files/cmd.exe. Look out for an updated version of MBAE.

    FWIW for me the problem persists using MBAE 1.12.1.43 when starting Chrome 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (64-bit) on a Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 (all security patches applied) system with an
    AMD FX-8120 8-core CPU.

    I'm holding off on reinstalling MBAE until I hear the Firefox crashing issue has also been fixed.

    I have had MBAE disabled for a week now and but started it again about an hour ago to see if the problems with crashes and blank new tabs persisted. So far so good and I will continue to monitor.

    If you still have not had any crashes within 24 hours then maybe the problem is fixed. If you don't mind then post back around 24 hours from now if you still have not had any crashes of Firefox. If you do then or course post back sooner.

    Reporting back as promised. Everything seems to be working fine and so it looks as though it was fixed either at the FF or MBAE end.

    That's what I was wondering. I was thinking maybe it could have been a FF issue, and they fixed it. Thanks for letting me know! I will check to make sure the problem is not present on my machine soon. Thanks!

    Hmmm. I guess MBAE was still causing Firefox crashes on some machines. The changelog says they fixed some FF crashes.

    I have installed MBAE 1.12.1.57 on Windows 10 X64 Pro. I will report back if I experience any problems.

    Still seeing MBAE 1.12.1.57 errors using Chrome 65.0.3325.181 (64) on Win7 SP1:

    Error using MBAE 1.12.1.57.JPG

    One operational note - I have Chrome configured to close background apps when Chrome is closed:

    Settings - background apps.JPG

    So each time Chrome is started these background apps have to be restarted.This may increase the probability of issues surfacing, as opposed to when these background apps are left resident and running all the time.

    The only noticeable issue I have experienced since installing MBAE again is with Chrome. When launching Chrome it freezes for a about 2-3 second with a plain white screen. After that Chrome works as expected. I have not seen any issues with Firefox so far. I'm using Windows 10x64 Pro Version 1709.

    Note: I have not used Chrome much recently so their could be more issues I have not run into yet.

    To waking, I had the same problem with the same version of Google Chrome (65.0.3325.181) but MBAE 1.12.1.48 eliminated it for me. I suggest that you PM arthi on the MalwareBytes forum (https://forums.malwarebytes.com/), say that you have the same problem as hake and request the same diagnostic information feedback software as he provided to me.

    Hi, what recent version of MBAE works well and is very light on Win XP SP3?
    I still use v1.09.1.1235, but it is very old...

    OK, thank you. Some time ago I installed the current version, and a few programs, as Firefox, etc.,
    stopped to work properly (some other users had the same problem, reported here in the forum).

    The only problem with the current version is an FP (RET ROP Gadget Detection) with New Moon browser.

    I.E.8 = OK.
    Basilisk = OK.
    Firefox ESR = OK.
