Better use Qbittorrent, deluge or other alternatives.

I've tried few of them in past but didn't like any of them better than uTorrent.

I personally used 2.2.1 for years before moving to qbittorrent. Are you using the latest version of utorrent?

Yes I use latest version. Bugs similar to this, doesn't make me comfortable using older versions.

Me too but under SBIEs and AppGuards supervision. I feel safe.

Only thing I like about utorrent is its small file size while having just as many or more features than others. But not worth to me dealing with those offers and ads. Sure you have workarounds but I don't want to deal with the annoyances.

Yes, few settings have to be changed to avoid ads (to be frank I haven't seen any, so I don't even know how they look). Since this are one time, set and forget modification I don't see it as a problem.

Want to try a client that is as small as µTorrent was back in 2005? Picotorrent is an alternative. Open source and not quite as "bloated" as the other great alternative qBittorrent.
