Well i installed Tiny FW a few days ago on Win8.1 as i don't want to install ZA free online, which is what we have to do now. Unlike my previous version on XP which i could DL & install Offline. As was Very happy with ZA on XP, if i could get a version which does what i want, i would try it out. Anybody know which is the last version that i'm looking for, & where to DL it ? In the meantime, i'm Amazed at what Tiny can do, for such a VERY small size. I realise it controls the inbuilt MS FW, but still !
Curious to understand why you can't install ZA online. If your windows 8 is up to date, windows firewall turned ON then there is no risk whatsoever to install ZA online
ZA is only online-installer and need to load signatures. at least no software to rely on. if you like tiny, stick with it.
@ petok Yes, the offline installer for the Free ZA, Firewall ( ONLY ) Not with the included AV. The last latest version of that ZA Free FW which works on Win8.1 @ Brummelchen I don't need it to load signatures, as i don't want the AV, just the Free Firewall. Tiny is nice, but i always liked what i could Easily configure with ZA, & also view in the logs etc
