Zemana said that they are continually working on improving their products and are working on bringing new features to their products. They also said they do not have an estimated time of when they will be releasing updated versions. However, they will let me know when they have more information.

So, their reply did not tell me much. But at least they are working on updates and as I already posted, the current version works well for me.

Does someone know what i turn off when i turn off REALTIME protection in ZAL? In my world keylogger protection is realtime also, but??

Or asked this way, what protection is left when one turns off realtime d.o?

An answer with a infolink to the facts would be nice.

There is a beta version 2.74.1.426. Well in the program, the version is shown as that, but the installer and ZAM.exe show the version as 2.74.0.426.

So maybe there is a stable version that will be released very soon. I just asked Zemana when it will be released.

I got if from a questionable website, so I have uploaded it to Mega, to make it easier to download. I it at VirusTotal and it was detected as clean by every scanner.

I have started to wonder the same thing, and the apparent lack of any form of involvement from Zemana in this forum of late is slightly disconcerting.

So I tested it against fifty pretty fresh malware samples and it failed to flag up three of these, despite the fact that all three were detected by VT.

Disappointing, as it doesn’t seem that long ago that Zemana seemed to pick up everything I threw at it, and IMHO performed better than another well known second opinion scanner (which, by the way, detected all fifty samples).

Hardly scientific I know but, taken in conjunction with the apparent lack of product development and exodus of personnel, perhaps indicates that all is not well in the Zemana camp.

On a positive note it performed pretty well in Cruel Sister’s recent Second Opinion Scanners vs Worms test…

Well for a second line of defense I'd take 3 outa 50 IMO that's not to bad, they still swear it's being supported so we'll see, I'm still running it on two of my PC's in real time. Thanks for the vid :thumb:

Agreed, but not as good as it used to be - on my system anyway.

When I initially tested it out a couple of years ago I seem to recall getting that number of non-detections from a pack of around 600 malware samples. In fact it appeared to perform so well that I purchased the Premium version and used it as my primary a/v, it was that rock-solid.

And whereas its detection rates used to outdo the competition my experience shows that no longer to be the case.

I’ll continue to use it for the time being but keep a careful eye on its performance.

To be fair, Zemana probably haven't got much time to work on their product, considering the time they spend taking photos and uploading them to Instagram :argh:

    Can't agree more .

Seems Zemana still " alive " , but not so well ,
they keep pushing advertising , but almost a year didn't see any product update and improve , or even just the bugs fix .

Their customer service seems going down the tubes , too .
Some of time they even don't reply customer's email ,
no idea it's because they forgot or just ignore it .

I'm already little regret to purchase their product .......

ZAM is cloud based and it just works.
    Why should they update it.

@KevinYu0504 : What bug should they fix?

That's just an update of the database , not the program itself ,
As the security software , only cloud database upgrade is not enough ,
many thing they can do , such as improve the UI、more protect or detect technology or even just a translate update .

Just like many other security software , keep improve their technology and more function ,
not just only update the database .
For other good example will be Malwarebytes(MB) , when the MB software is just starting ,
they are just a simple scanner to remove the Malware , but now MB become more powerful ,
    they had zero-day attack protect、ransomware protect、Web protect ... e.t.c .

So there is many thing Zemana can do , not just stop improving or development ,
If Zemana keep sleeping , they will be eliminated very soon i believe .

A lot' of user already call Zemana's product is " abandonware " ,
and seems some good guy already leave Zemana ,
i start doubt it the " abandonware " is true .

There are two big bugs happen on me in this year ,
I am using their Zemana AntiLogger ,
however some of times the program will lost the contact with their cloud service ,
and not just only lost the contact(with out protect) , also the scan function is failed .

After triple times recheck , i am pretty sure that my Internet is stable ,
and only Zemana's cloud is losing the contact .

I take many screenshot and Internet IP tracking result ,
and send a email to their customer service , they confirm it's not my problem ,
there is some contact issue between me and their service .

Other issue is , some of time the Zemana will crash suddenly ,
and asking me to send a feedback(report) to them , and i have to reboot Zemana by manual .
After many months , those problem still show up sometimes .

    ZAL crash.jpg

By the way , you can still find many user report Zemana had more problem ,
such as the memory leak、user remove Zemana but still some files and drives left in the system ... e.t.c .

    This ... scan crashes.
Then the 'send bug report' crashes as well :isay:.

Also sent several emails to support (acknowledged), but never a solution.

ZAM, or ZAL Lifetime, every machine. Long since removed.

I doubt if they are already without senior engineers or developers. :doubt:
