Defensewall; is it any good ? It appears the site has been hacked.

    Back in it's day, Defencewall was an excellent choice.

    Defensewall was a very good solution in its age, I was a fan of the concept.

    Nowdays I consider Comodo Firewall 10 with Cruelsister settings a spiritual successor to Defensewall Personal Firewall ...

    Despite I was a supern00b (still I am lol) about security topics and programs, I had plenty of fun translating its interface to Spanish.

    Same here. Mine was 100-year license for being a beta tester. Checked their forum and there have been no new posts in almost three years. I recall Ilya would not try to make for a 64 bit version of DefenseWall because of Microsoft's Patchguard.
    Programs like DefenseWall and ProcessGuard were ahead of their time but only appealed to Internet security enthusiasts like us.

    any HIPS using restriction-based sandbox. Comodo is the closest.
