    Salutations/Greetings!

Are they still developing their WinPatrol WAR (formerly WinAntiRansom).
WinPatrol WAR v 2017.4.711 for the future? Or is just closing the Forums only?
Not clear? What is going on? Confuse!

    Anybody?:geek:

    Only the support is affected.
They closed the forum "Support will now be provided exclusively by email support", but they will continue to develop WinPatrol WAR.

Bought a licence for this last November and forgot I hado_O...Just tried it and damn, it really slows up execution of programs like ccleaner (20 seconds to load!), Zemana and MBAM etc!...Back to appcheck.

I have had it installed for quite some time, and I can say from experience that WAR is solid, more so than it was.
They have made strides and not remained stagnant.
I run a series of Configs and at times that requires some of my software to be "put to sleep" or dormant so I experience
no conflicts, but I wake up WAR and update the version regularly. WAR is still a serious contender and is worth keeping
    an eye on imho. PeAcE

Anyone out there with knowledge of how the development of this program is proceeding, it appears to have anti executable attributes triggered via the calibration of behavioural traits. It seems to be a really good product but there has been no news for some time.

The program has not been updated for a long time and does not work at all, the service does not start

WinPatrol has not been updated as well.
Seems to be a dead project now, unfortunately...

Yep the last update was May 3, 2017. I recently sent in 2 email inquiring if this program was still supported, both went unanswered.

The founder of WinPatrol WAR is also a Software Engineer for KnowBe4, perhaps he no longer has the time to work on WinPatrol programs. If so this would be a shame.

Well he has updated the home page and product pages , but does not answer emails . What to make of that , no updated products since May 017 , maybe he will be relaunching updated products soon ?

Was not WinPatrol sold in the last year or so?
It used to be a useful app particularly for less experienced users.

If that was the case, why not simply answer and say "stay tuned, something great will happen soon" ?
If I was about to relaunch something, I'd post news for sure.

Bret Lowry (ruiware) bought it several years ago already.

Some comments in the Group might explain "the lack of customer support":

I have sent 3 emails since January and have received no response. The hurricane was back in September 2017. You would think, by now, the guy could post something on his web page, Facebook page, Landzdown, etc. letting his customers know what is going on, but he hasn't done so. This is no way to serve your customers.

The following is a statement on the WinPatrol War site, unfortunately the reality for some considerable time has been very different.
    • "Support from a company that actually answers emails and support requests in a timely and personal manner"
