Some banks are pushing to install Trusteer for additional security - Info can be found here:
    https://www.trusteer.com/ProtectYourMoney

I am not familiar with this product and found some info by Schneider that was somewhat uninspiring, especially the comments below the review. However this dates back to 2010. Is anyone using this in conjunction with any other AV and can comment on it?

Unfortunately, my new Bank including several others in the UK offer this as a download when you log in online.

Tried it years ago and found it unstable and slowed down my computer to a crawl. Tried it again a few weeks ago and had exactly the same performance problems and this was without any other security programs in real-time.

Not too sure how effective this software is but just on performance grounds it is not a good choice for my machines - WIN 10-(and this is a common problem if you simply google Trusteer Rapport). There are better alternatives out there.

Thanks Blackcat - I was hoping that the issues from 2010 were no longer relevant but based on your experience I think I will try to resist as long as possible. I don't think I need this on my pc (using AV, sandboxie and common sense) - it's just the bank seems to get more insistent in their marketing trying to push everyone to install this.

Problem: Trusteer Rapport software will not install or run under Sandboxie
Solution: None (as of Sept 2015) To use Trusteer Rapport, run the web browser outside the sandbox.

    https://www.sandboxie.com/KnownConflicts

Sandboxie and Trusteer Endpoint Protection are currently not compatible. Sandboxie completely
isolates the browser running under it and prevents Trusteer Endpoint Protection from protecting it.
We are working with the vendor on fixing this.

I am using a sandbox that is dedicated to financial transactions with all contents deleted once finished with a session. I prefer this approach to having to use another program that no longer allows me this isolation and on top seems to slow down any other type of browsing. Thanks for the additional info.

I only run win defender and it slows to a crawl. Its not only a Sandboxie problem, it has always slowed down browsing.

Based on everything that I read, I would also stay away from it. It's simply too aggressive, you're probably better of with other tools that offer online banking protection, like most AV's do. If you're not into AV's, you could try HMPA.
