Recently I had Windows 7 crash to where I had to have it reinstalled with a data recovery service. Personally I think the office store did a hack job because certain features that worked before do not work now. I always maintained SpywareBlaster on my system without problem until now. It will not load the definitions in the database. The line that shows the program loading the database looks corrupted with 45 degree parallel lines running through it. Windows detects incompatibility and closes it when I try to close it. I thought I was lucky that the crash did not damage the hard drive. Yesterday I ran sfc /scannow and it detected nothing; but I still suspect that the store gave me a messed up Windows installation.
After some security scans, a shutdown and restart caused SpywareBlaster to open, reload and update. So, it is back to normal now.
