I don't have an attitude. Elsewhere and on many occasions I have highly praised uBlock, Sorry if I am a ****** idiot cause I cannot figure out how to ADD an anti-ad blocker to uBlock. Suggest you cut some slack for those of us who are not so well informed. Moving on...

@gorhill - Thanks for a great product and thanks for your useful info.

It's great that gorhill still kindly spend his time to explain things here! That "doesn't like my project" thing was what I also wanted to ask. I once moved to Chris' uBlock but returned back after seeing what he did. There's no much reason to switch to Nano so far. Ugly dashboard? Who cares when it works, and I'm heavy user often playing with My Filters. Only one problem for me is it doesn't show all domain levels for dynamic rule. e.g. if full domain was www.abc.def.ghi.com, only full domain and def.ghi.com will be shown so I need to go to My Rules and edit. But it's not much trouble.

If you can't wait filter maintainer to fix anti-adblock and you're helpless about writing your own filter, try to disable inline script on the site. It doesn't always work but it breaks some elementary anti-adblock.

You should be able to toggle the list between base domain-only and base-domain-and-all-subdomains by clicking the "all" cell at the top.

@gorhill : The integration of CodeMirror in the 1.15.11 betas is much appreciated. :thumb: Are you also planning to introduce what seems to be WIP in NanoAdblocker? Would certainly be helpful for many users although I think it's difficult to implement.

I always use "all". Very sorry not to be able to actual site I had trouble as it's hard to find what it was from 100s of my rules. But say, if I go to https://www.yummly.com/#recipe/Skinny-Garlic-Parmesan-Fries-2258059 it only shows full domain of "execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.com" and not "us-east-1.amazonaws.com" or even "amazonaws.com" in this case. I'm using 1.15.2 for Chrome.

That's because since 1.15.2 there's nothing new/fixed to chrome extension.

    Code:
    1.15.4:
    Firefox/webext
Android Firefox corrupted downloads with uBlock on

    1.15.6:
    Emergency fix for Firefox:
Wrong encoding results in garbled characters on German site

    1.15.8:
    Firefox/webext:
Fixed a minor memory leak occurring as a result of injecting scriptlets (through ##script:inject(...) filters) using webRequest.filterResponseData.

    1.15.10:
    Firefox/webext
I rolled back part of the fix for #3069: scriptlets are back to being injected using the delayed path. Using stream filtering to inject the scriptlets raised two distinct issues lately:

    Cause still unknown: #3526
Cause identified -- but no obvious fix possible: uBlockOrigin/uAssets#1492
HTML filtering is still available, i.e. filters using the ##^ syntax are unaffected.

uBO won't show hostnames which are at or below Public Suffix List: .us-east-1.amazonaws.com is a public suffix, the same way .com is a public suffix, so it's best to not show these in the UI to not bloat the panel, and to prevent users from setting rules with undue broadness. You can manually enter such rules however in the dashboard.

Closer looks are for smart people. Clearly I'm not as smart as you.
Before you decline this answer of mine. Let's agree to not reply to any comments I might do or you might do in the future including this one, then we both are going to be at peace.

Moreover, include me in your beautiful signature. I beg you...

Has anybody tried the relatively new HTML filters in uB0? I did on https://amiunique.org which is a test site fingerprinting your browser. According to the uB0 logger a script is executed called https://amiunique.org/assets/javascripts/PluginDetect_All.js .

In order to test HTML filters I tried to block it with the rule:
    Code:
    amiunique.org##^script:has-text(Plugin)
And indeed - the site remains empty and the logger shows this entry:

    upload_2018-3-8_18-31-54.png

So this seems to work. Now I changed the rule to
but this had no effect although above wiki site says that the syntax is similar to that of cosmetic filters, except that you must prefix your selector (CSS or procedural) with the character ^. uB0 supports the ABP syntax - and that documentation says that a rule like
    Code:
    ##selector
applies to all domains. So shouldn't the second rule above work here, too? Or am I missing something?

For HTML filtering, i guess you need to prefix with a domain name. It will discard the filter, if you fail to prefix it.

Ah! I remembered once you said that in probably just this thread! Sorry, I forgot as it was ages ago. All right, that would be good balance and going through dashboard is not much trouble anyway.

Yes, it seems so. I was only confused as the documentation does not support that conclusion, does it? Hence, I was not sure if that is something specific for HTML filtering or a bug.

If i use Ublock Origin in Medium mode can i still use Fanboys Social Blocking list?

That list is must have for me, so i don't see those annoying twitter and facebook buttons on websites.
