Kaspersky

HI Guys,

I'm worried about owning KIS, I have a 3 machine license, & 400 days to go before renewal. I've heard Putin & Kaspersy are close, perhaps Kaspersky has ties to KGB. Should I delete KIS, over this Russia thing.

I wouldn't use anything from Kaspersky even if you paid me. Unless you don't value your security and like dealing with your license being blacklisted after 3 re-activations.

 

I used & swore by Kaspersky for years. Then a few years ago there was a 9mo free trial of BitDefender IS. I've had my problems with them. But Bitdefender's 24/7 365 knowledgeable English speaking support has been stellar. I wouldn't use anything but BitDefender now. Again the 24/7 365 customer support is amazing. YMMV.

 

If everything's ok with your machines, performance wise, just keep it. Forget about all that bs and politics.

I would be more afraid of your administration spying on you through American made software, than Russian government spying on you through their software. You do know that Russian government doesn't have any power over you, while your government has?

 

Well spoken. If you live in US/EU and value your privacy, prefer Chinese/Russian software/emails/services and vice versa. Patriot Act is still in effect.
