Audacity v2.3.1 Released (March 8, 2018) Announcement Release Notes Download Spoiler: Change v2.3.1 New: Options and preferences: Microfades are now an opt-in feature. They were always on in 2.3.0. The advanced vertical zooming option is now available in the View->Zoom menu. Regular interval labels now support range labels. Bug Fixes: Over 20 bugs that were in 2.3.0 fixed, including: A crashing bug on Linux that made Audacity 2.3.0. unsuitable for Linux. Crash on Mac when right clicking on label. This must be one of the very best freeware audio apps ever produced and distributed. Has a good long track record as well. Thanks for bringing attention to a newer release.

A plug-in installer for Nyquist now provides a file browser for selecting ‘.NY’ files to install. Thanks fellas. Been using Audacity for eons and was relieved when it finally would auto find that ole notorious search (manually) for lame_enc.dll in order to complete a save after edit.
