One license activation covers both products. HMP is the scanner used by Alert. There is an option in the scanner to install a local copy, otherwise Alert downloads the latest one any time it needs to run.

I have HMP installed locally, and scheduled to run a quick scan at each boot.

Thanks, Tinstaafl. I have taken RonnyT's advice, and have emailed the Support Team as well.

Trying a program called BlackFog Privacy.

Got this, in spite of having added it to exclusions.

    Code:
    Mitigation CryptoGuard

    Platform 10.0.16299/x64 v729 06_45
    PID 25596
    Application C:\Program Files\BlackFog\BlackFog Privacy\PrivacySvc.exe
    Description Privacy Service 3.3.2

I haven't had that alert. I wonder if BFP's DoD wipe might be related? Since my machines have SSDs it is pointless allowing more than a single wipe anyway, whether it produces more wear or not.

    Excluding it doesn't help :)
Try to untick "DoD wipe" or similar options which are responsible for securely deleting files.
Can be the reason why you didn't received the alert. HMP.A kicks in if files are securely deleted.

Of course :thumb:. Will have to investigate how to get around this in BFP, don't immediately see where to do that yet.

The keystroke encryption seems to be interfering with Chrome registering keystroke combinations such as Ctrl + W and Ctrl + F. When keystroke encryption is enabled, such keystroke combinations frequently have to be activated multiple times before Chrome (64.0.3282.167) registers them.

Not seeing this issue here. Running build 729 with Chrome up to date at Version 64.0.3282.167, keystroke encryption enabled.

I'm also running Windows 10 1709 and using a Logitech k520 keyboard. I'd say about 1 in 10 keystroke combination instances get rejected, but sometimes 3 in a row. It's very annoying. Doesn't happen at all with keystroke encryption disabled.

Are you using Logitech software? I am using only stock Microsoft keyboard/mouse drivers.

Have you tried removing that to see if that resolves the problem? If so, I would suggest emailing support@hitmanpro.com with the issue.

    HMP.A v3.7.3 build 729
After installing of HMP.A and launching of the portable version of Chrome (64.0.3282.167) two extensions were corrupted (Nano Defender and uBlock Origin).
I clicked on "Repair", but as soon i restarted the browser they were corrupted again. And this happens each time i have started the browser.
In addition Google Chrome reported after each relaunch that it wasn't exited correctly...
(I couldn't see any abnormal process terminations - the exit status was always: 0x0. There was nothing suspicious)

This happens if the browser is protected and it also happens if it is not protected by HMP.A.

After deinstalling HMP.A it seems to be solved and Chrome is launching without problems and no extension is corrupted anymore (and the message that it wasn't exited correctly is also gone)

Running HMP.A v3.7.3 build 729, the installed version of Chrome Version 64.0.3282.167 (Official Build) (64-bit), with uBlock Origin v1.15.2.

No issues here with Chrome extensions on Win 10 Pro 1703.

I've had problems with keystroke encryption interfering with Chrome on two machines.

Demand for users who use it:
    1) uTorrent
    2) WhatsApps (app Desktop)
If you want to add them to "protected" software, which category would you choose? OTHER?

    1) If you choose "other", don't forget to untick Application Lockdown if you intend to launch downloaded executables or if the application is updating itself.
