Some big trouble happen on Malwareytes .

About an hour ago , all the world's Malwarebytes user discover their system ram usage rate keep rising and never stop ,
and until your system crash and dead .

The only way for now , is you have to close the【Malwarebytes Service】in task manager with manual ,
if the service reboot again , you have to close it in task manager's service page .

The voice of the complaint flooded on official forum now .

I didn't uninstall it , but i close the Malwarebytes service in task manager by manual ,
until now , seems ok .

However i have no idea if i reopen the MB service , what will happen .

This stupid problem shouldn't happen on Malwarebytes this kind big company . :cautious:

A lot of new threads in the forum of malwarebytes regarding this issue
But it's weekend, maybe an official answer or solution can be expected on Monday :doubt:
Edit: They are aware of it

Ummm, not sure if related to the RAM usage issue but in the last 2 days I have had Malwarebytes 3.3.1 on 3 systems suddenly report Real Time Protection disabled. Clicking Turn On does nothing. Opening up the control panel shows it is "Web Protection" that is turned on. Slide the switch to on and it shows "Starting..." forever or until it just times out, or I get ****** and kill it.

It always puzzles me when suddenly things change when supposedly no changes were pushed out.

MBAM 3 was running at 50% CPU on my laptop after a filter update and suddenly I got locked out completely (for about 1 hour). My screen was black for the entire time, but there was intermittent disk activity. There was nothing I could do. It was like that for over an hour, then suddenly the Windows login screen appeared. MBAM had finished chowing down on my system and the MBAM processes terminated on their own. One thing I did notice was that the MBAM notification icon had vanished. I tried to start MBAM from the start menu. 'Can not access service' popup appears.

Looking forward to seeing the response from the support guys at MBAM.

Well that was a nice surprise for me when I got back home, just about everything had crashed due to no memory being available all due to MBAM web protection deciding it needed to use most of my 32gb of ram. Have stopped it running at startup & that seems to have fixed the issue for now. I'm amazed & very disappointed that they allowed this to happen. I might just not use it from now on due to this.

    Confirm .
The problem is no more .

    Fix step :
    1.
Please reopen the Malwarebytes service , and run Malwarebytes ,
make sure to push the " update " button before the system going to crash .

    2.
Exit the Malwarebytes by right chick on MB icon ,
    than reopen Malwarebytes ,
make sure your version is :
    3.3.1.2183
    1.0.262
    1.0.3803

Wow! what a major stuff up. I'm glad I was asleep and my machines shut down while that drama played out.

It's not the first time an update from MB has caused major issues. :cautious:
