hi in the past i have lost partitions , delete for error folders ,in short i had to face several disaster outside partitions recovery software (really i had really bad luck whith them) i get always great results with GetDataBack for NTFS today i delete a folder with lots of important data , i was not at home so i could use my copy of getdataback for ntfs i was used to work with it , when it start it has several option , in the case of my case "i want to recovery delete files" -> it start to scan the mft and rebuilt the folder structure and find the file and it did a great job today i had to use another software R-Studio , in this case it was enough to click on the partition ->open drive files -> and really very fast ,in 1 second it show me the paritions folders and files and the recovery was very easy , the only problems was the date , i mean the restored data has all the date of today morning honestly i don't know why and when should i scan an entire drive , i have not bought it well , the point ,may I know about your experiences and the software you have used to recovery data (after lost partitions or recovery files) after a disaster? every feedback are really wellcome , about software you have used to revocery your data ? and some tips to do it? thanks
I've used Recuva in past with good results. If information about deleted file is still in MFT it finds it quickly, otherwise Deep scan must be run, which can take some time (depending on size of your drive).
Hi Minimalist , used years and years ago but with bad results maybe they have improved , after the malware in ccleaner , i have not used their program but i will give it a try to the portable version thanks Hi oliverjia ,it's around 70$ , i guess it costs 70€ there 2 homepages , eassos & partitionguru all dot com are the same? have you used with great results? have you tried R-studio data recovery ,seems well considerated between them you will buy PartitionGuru ? thanks
I haven't used PartitionGuru for years; when I used it it was still free. I believe there is also a free version available now? You can try the free version first to see how well it will find the deleted files, then buy it if it can recover them. Yes Eassos and PartitionGuru should be the same. I have not used R-studio so no clue.

hi oliverjia thank you Hi @mood mosly i wanted to read your experience and have your feebacks positive or negative about software and situation thanks
I forgot to add it The last time i had to recover files was some time ago, and i have used Recuva. I also have used GetDataBack for NTFS with success. If i need to recover files i am using these two programs.
Trying to recover files from an SSD always failed for me when I tried to recover some on my SSD drives. Once trim cuts in, the file is gone for good. At least this is what I've found using Recuva which works fine for normal drives.
It's a fact, with an actively TRIMmed SSD you cannot do any file recovery of previously deleted file content (unless it's in the TRASH).
hi is really impossible recover file or folder delete from a ssd with trim enabled? i know several people use ssd as portable hard disk
Mantra, if the portable SSD is USB connected, there won't be a problem. TRIM is not a supported function across the USB connection.
I do, but only manually copy paste. There could be a few weeks gap between two backups. Hence the mechanical drive use. Normally mechanical drive will give warning sign before belly up, and data can be retracted. Plus cost concerns on SSD.
Sorry to see this, most of us may inevitably encounter partition loss and data loss, as there are so many alternative software nowadays, it's hard for some of us to pick up a proper one. I'd like to recommend MiniTool - a recognized industry leader in disk partition and data recovery software. We have developed many popular products including MiniTool Partition Wizard, MiniTool Power Data Recovery and more. MiniTool Partition Wizard, the powerful yet free partition magic software, would help you recover lost partition efficiently. While MiniTool Power Data Recovery can help you get the lost data back in most cases. And it is available to all platforms. You should get it a try.
Not necessarily a good assumption. I just had a 2tb hdd go belly up. One minute there and the next poof gone.
