I always find f-secure to be a dependable AV. Install and forget type. Its best for installing on parents PC.

For past few months, I encountered few FP's. That's when I realized why test results show so many FP for f-secure( didn't encountered them earlier).

I only got one FP, then you can either choose to quarantine it or exclude it although I couldn't find how to set exclusions from the settings menu. There is a DeepGuard exclusions but I'm not sure if that's the same thing as the actual exclusions of the regular scanner

Thats true. F-secure ist very light with bd-signatures and a good behavior blocker aka deepguard.

I wonder why it's not so popular on the forums then. I got a 3 PC license for 39 bucks

Good question. I think the marketing is not the best. Avast and Kaspersky for example makes
a lot of advertising and have a big community since years

I do too, except I don't like the fact that at every startup it causes background errors. check your event log viewer and you will see many errors pertaining to Panda. and BTW, this topic is about F-Secure not Panda.

I can get it for around 2.4 USD per month from my ISP for 5 devices. I do not avail of this offer because I already run BullGuard, which I like a lot. F-Secure has a history of being slightly heavy but with zero compromise to protection.

i started using F-Secure Internet Security (i guess) about 5-6 years ago: i bought a quite cheap licence for 3 machines. Had no problems at all with
false/positives (yes: you can find a lot of reports on the interent that F-Secure has a lot of F/P detections). F-Secure was running very fine and without any (other)
problems on all my machines... ...so based on my personal experience with this AV i would recommend F-Secure.

I recently bought license for F-secure internet security. I have mostly good experiences with it. I am using it alongside with Hitmanpro.Alert.

I had to uninstall it, I didn't get any FPs but some apps I would try to install like Adobe's CS Suite 2018 and many others, they'd just hand at 90% until I paused the AV. I don't like it when the AV messes with the normal operation of my computer.
