I disagree with this Russian company based on my own experience. Finally Apple has made a good Change, it makes much more sense now. Prior to that, once you have made an encrypted backup for a test, and later forgot your password because long time not using it, what will happen? If you want to create another backup on any PC or MAC, you will realize that you can't, Apple will not allow you to creat either unencrypted backup nor encrypted backup with a different password. You can't reset the lost password. The only option is to backup your device through the internet on iCloud. What a stupid design! Why can't you encrypt every backup with a different password? If you forgot your password, why can't you delete the first backup and decide next time do it unencrypted? it makes simply no sense.
I'm curious what others think about the apparent flaw in the iOS 11, prohibiting unencrypted backup or encrypted backup via a different password, and most importantly, inability to reset a lost password. I don't see the efficacy in this.
