I'm not sure what's going on with this.

I downloaded the installer and just kept getting this:

As SeaMonkey was actually closed I'm not sure why this didn't run. I checked the Task Manager but to no avail. Is 2.49.1 borked or something?

Dave- no idea why this should occur. But open Task Manager first and if you see SeaMonkey open try to kill it first before doing the install.

I finally got it to run after deleting all my profiles. Unfortunately there are no add-ons compatible except FlagFox now. So I've uninstalled SeaMonkey. It's been a good nine years, but I'm afraid we've had to part.

I installed it with no add-on problems, not that I had many addons. Noscript and Adblock Plus work as before.

I tried ABP and couldn't get it to run. I don't know what's happened. All my other browsers run fine.

However, I have tried the PortableApps version and I did manage to download NoScript. ABP still wouldn't though.

uBlock Origin & uMatrix Updater (the xpi file from the releases) and get the latest stable release of uBlock Origin (Legacy version) from the github page.

There's definitely something borked with this release. In nine years of using SeaMonkey on several computers I've never known anything like this. It was always so reliable.

    PrefBar works though.

Does anyone know if there is a compatible extension that can put a 'close' button on individual tabs?
