Utter gits. Built in obsolescence is something that really annoys me like batteries that you cannot change.
This is the truly evil part: They knowingly sold devices that would work for less than a year. That's gotta be illegal.
Remember 2012 they said the earth would go over to the other side of the galactic plane and weird things would happen...

Guess that the best way to achieve ownership and privacy of "smart home" is to stick with "Do it yourself" community.
And so they should. I am sure their move would not be legal in Australia because we are protected by the Australian Consumer Guarantee which says that products must be be fit for the purpose and be safe, lasting, with no faults and have spare parts and repair facilities available for a reasonable time after purchase unless you were told otherwise.
It is good news, yet I'm still inclined to avoid Logitech products if they're more concerned about the negative publicity than they are about their customers.
