Excuse if this has been asked. I did search a bit.

Can I totally disable Real-Time monitoring? For my usage it is important there is no Real-Time monitoring.

    Thank you.

    Hi @zapjb,

    Thank you for the interest.
Yes, you can disable active protection:
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click on General tab
    3. Un-check Enable protection
    4. Click Apply
I also suggest to close program via tray menu and then launch again.

If you have any other question, suggestion or feedback then feel free to let me know anytime. :)

    Regards,
    Kardo

    Thanks for the prompt response.
Doing as you outlined will leave no ongoing processes?
Is there a right click context scan individual files option?
I'm looking at your portable version.

I just wanted to give Kardo a quick "Thank You". I've been using this program on and off (most of the time as an on demand scanner, but sometimes as my only real-time security) since it was first offered, and it has always worked perfectly for me. It has never caused any problem or slow-down on on either of my very different computers, through multiple variations of Win 8.1 and Win 10 on both HDD's and various SSD's. I truly appreciate this fine software.

Can I have this in the right click context menu?

    Hi @zapjb,

If you want to use it only as on-demand scanner then close Crystal Security via tray menu and open it when you need to start on-demand analysis.
    Yes. Enable Shell integration feature:
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click on General tab
    3. Check Shell integration
    4. Click Apply
After that you should see Analyze with Crystal Security in Windows context menu.
    Hi @bsvols,

Thank you for your kind words and feedback. :)

    Regards,
    Kardo

When I right click & Analyze with Crystal Security. CS just opens to Overview. And it only opens at all from right click when CS is left in the taskbar.

@zapjb You should see selected file analysis under Overview section. If file is Safe then there is no notification (it depends on your Settings).

    Hi Kardo,
If I move that directory to a different partition and replace it with a shortcut that points to the new location, do you think Crystal Security would continue to function properly? I am using a snapshot (rollback) feature to periodically discard changes made to the system partition, and I would like to preserve the data files so they don't get discarded.

In order of precedence, which engines give the least FPs? Which engines do you use, and why?

    Hi @mekelek

    Thank you for your feedback.

Can you please specify following settings:
Settings - Protection - When unknown file is detected...

    What choices are selected?

    Regards,
    Kardo
