So no way forward to v5 for consumers then :cautious:.

Unless one gets the Small Business version at $69.95 per year . On that 'Buy' page there is ironically a quote 'AppGuard should be on every Windows system in the world' :D.

But I guess they don't want to have to support home users.

Expected and understandable, most AG's home users have hard time to use it properly, many don't grasp the simple fact that AG isn't supposed to be quiet and alerts about every blocked processes then they ask the support for every block they have because of the policies they didn't correctly implemented.

I am still on Win 8.1 and planning on going to Win 10 in the near future, anyone with experience on running Appguard 4.x on Win 10. Appguard themselves are saying no Problem but ....

    Thx
    :thumb:

Ps: I think the preferred way to switch over is: Uninstall AG on Win 8.1, Install Win 10 and then install Appguard 4.x on Win 10. This because of AG activation. Correct ??

Sorry, what's going on? Can I purchase a lifetime license for v5 personal? If so, how much? I have a lifetime license for v4.

    Thanks,
    Robert

At this point, I don't know that you can purchase any v5 personal licenses.

    Thanks. Seems that way.

Thanks. I have emailed them, but they have not replied. I cannot fathom why they limit revenue by not allowing personal/home purchases.

The life cycle of v4 cannot be in perpetuity. At some point in time, v4 will become obsolescent.

Not that bad. You can still get Business version. Only$10 more and is available on a monthly plan

Exactly. NO need to whine for an old version. You have a new one available, a bit more expensive, but there it is for any of you. Nice!

Not here to rant or cry. Business models are changing...such is life!

Will wait and see as v4 is still effective and there are always alternatives.

Honestly I wouldn't want to pay a monthly fee for a product that I used for a one-time price, just my opinion.

So fara 4 and 5 are the same. Have to see if new features really buy any new security. But if they really do it would be worth it to me. If you test against malware, you would really appreciate just how good appguard is.

    Me too. $70 x 5 yrs...

But, I agree with Peter; AG is almost irreplaceable as a security defense.

    IMO,
    Robert
