In post 6144, I wanted to know about the fate of ERP and MBAE in the fall Creators', not the current 1703.
    So any ideas?

    Guyz,

    question please.

I am on the verge of changing from Win 8.1 to Win 10, and I am uncertain about 2 security apps I am running if they run well on Win 10.

One is Appguard, fortunately in the Appguard Thread I got the confirmation that it runs well on Win 10 (Thx Guyz)

The other one is NVT ExeRadarPro. I am running the 15052015 version which I really like so I want also to run it on my Windows 10 install.

So my question is: Will NVT ExeRadarPro (15052015) be able to run on the latest Win 10 version ? And if so, are there any particulars to look out for ? (running learning mode for a couple of reboots etc etc )

    Thx guys, really appreciated.

Used both on Win10 x64 Home. No issue so far (note that ERP isn't fully SUA compatible).

    @guest

Are there any pitfalls that it isn't (fully) SUA compatible ?

Or let me rephrase that, anything too watch out for ?

+1. Both working fine here on Win 10 Pro x64 v1703 15063.632. (I use the slightly later version 3.1.0.0 Build 1-24062015, there is a link somewhere in this thread).

Maybe the upcoming new version of ERP will address the SUA issue ...

    +1

I have to ask. Has anyone at anytime ever while using ERP seen any drain or pull on resources at all?

Since way back when I might could remember ERP is been solid on that while performing what it's designed to do without so much as a burp.

In this PC camp i can only point to SD and to an extent Sandboxie which i also have used for eons now and I have to lump it in that same rare group. This thing is well grooved and hope it continues the same with the new release soon.

I also use it on Win 10 1703 and will continue to work it into any lineup

I completely agree!! That's my new config; SBIE NVTERP, and Shadow Defender. It seems extremely light and responsive.

"Is it strictly an executable, meaning that it only monitors exe files? It would be nice to have script support as well"

The beta version puts most of the common script interpreters on the vulnerable processes list, by default. This means you will get a prompt every time a script executes. If you want to add more script interpreters, you can do so. I don't know if the stable version has the list populated by default. but it's pretty easy to populate the list.

I would really appreciate an Explorer context menu entry that scans .exe files (hashes) with VirusTotal, similar to what can already be done within NVTERP's own advanced, whitelist and blacklist tabs.

I must say that I'm starting to get a little worried, still no sign of the new ERP.

    You're not the only one.

Dependence on ERP in this camp is as natural as bread and butter. And ShadowDefender

I guess their focuses is on their business customers at the moment.

That is true. Think it was a mistake turning it free, right in the middle of beta testing.

Indeed, they shouldn't have made it free for everyone, they should have chosen a certain number of users with various level of skills and give them a free license for being "official external testers"
Making the beta free and available to everyone cutted down all their incomes, why pay for the stable when the beta is quite stable already.

If NVT was a big company and got lot of incomes from corporations, it would be ok, but it is not...

Our chief resident developer Andreas is the Final determination on that.

And his intentions on the method made for distribution of ERP is fine with me.

    Always the best to everyone!

Does anyone have a link for the latest beta version for NVT-ERP?
And will it work with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update? List of
    conflicts if any?
And when was the NVT-ERP last update? And are they working
    NVT-ERP to date?

Make today great and tomorrow even better!!!

The latest 'official' beta build is here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...ks-exe-radar-pro.300552/page-185#post-2490985

Though there is a later one: http://downloads.novirusthanks.org/files/EXERadar_Pro_x86_x64_v3.1_24062015_BUILD1.exe
    (See: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...ks-exe-radar-pro.300552/page-217#post-2615716)

Works fine with FCU. No conflicts. Works fine, wouldn't be without it.

A new version is in the pipeline, taking a little longer than expected.

One of the things that's temping me to use a HIPS (Spyshelter firewall) instead of NVTERP is the fact that NVTERP doesn't protect againt vbs and reg files. I'm sure there are others, those are just the two I've found so far. Running either one, NVTERP doesn't prompt for permission.

Just put programs like regedit on the vulnerable process list. Then it will alert you

Hmmm, are you using the stable version, or the free beta?
The 2015 beta version that a lot of people are using automatically prompts for VBS files.
To get the stable version to do that, I think you will have to populate the vulnerable process list, like @Peter2150 already said.

Interesting. I'm using the beta version, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'll have to investigate it more. Thanks!!
