Kaspersky KAV/KIS/KTS/KS 2018

I'm still on version 2017, and find it stable. Is there any benefit to updating to 2018? I'm aware new versions of KIS are buggy for a while until patches come along, so is it working well now? Or, am I just as well off sticking to what I know?

I have had no stability issues with it. Patch D was just released. By the 4th patch after release it is usually pretty solid.

 

I think I'll give it a whirl, tomorrow though.

 

How safe is Kaspersky 2018 these days with all the talk about the Russian gouvernant and spying on other people?

If you work in the government office of the US or a US ally, don't use it. Otherwise, you couldn't be safer.

 

Agreed. I've been running the 2018 version since its release. No issues of any kind.

 

You are probably correct, but I will just wait a while just to be sure. I don't have man-love or trust for anyone related to Putin's agenda.

Thanks for the info, @Minimalist . I got Patch H via internal updater this morning.

 

IDK for which version of Windows they've added support but on Windows 7 I didn't notice any problems with all updates installed.
