    yes, i see it now. link 2 for v8 and link 1 in v9 are same and point to the general JRE-site - i only looked into the last links wich linked directly to v8 JRE and v9 JDK.

    so oracle wants users to run v9 JRE and no longer v8?

    Of interest, they quote the same recommendation for version 8.
    Java SE 8u151/ 8u152
    Java SE 8u151 includes important bug fixes. Oracle strongly recommends that all Java SE 8 users upgrade to this release
