AVG o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O? not really . i bought a 2 year total security for all my computers and smartphones and am really disappointed. It is very buggy with the update and it even reverted into free version once . Its support is OK but this is not enough

Good to know, thanks. Do you know if it's a firewall problem? I've had problems before where the Avast firewall would block access to legit sites.

It was a problem with web shield, but they have now fixed it via streaming updates and it's now safe to update avast :)

issue was fixed by streaming updates.
Fix is present in streaming updates "c:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\17083106_stream\pkg1708310600000001.bin" and earlier.

Fact of the matter--Even the normal versions of 2017 are quite stable as compared to previous versions of past years atleast in my experience.

Cant forgot those buggy and rushed builts.
