    Yes: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

However I still can't find checksums to verify the download.

Who can post the MD5/SHA-1 of the English (US) x64 version? (or even better: a list for all versions/languages)

    mantra,

If you open the XIII link in a Linux OS you can download the ISO without needing the tool.

Or a Mac (which I was using all the time; completely forgetting the behaviour is different on Windows machines).

Apparently you can do the same from https://tb.rg-adguard.net/index.php, but since that's a third party website I would not recommend it.

(the links you get from them lead to Microsoft servers though; they were even available before Microsoft updated its own page)

After a clean install with Fall CU ISO, Win defender says the last definition update was Monday, January 1 1601, and that it is up to date :argh:
If you use the Fall CU ISO, you still have to download the October Security update.

You can also install User-Agent Switcher for Chrome to download the ISO from the link in @XIII 's post above. I've changed Chrome to appear as Safari on a Mac. There are similar extensions for Firefox.

    Krusty,

I just updated my wife's laptop to 1709 and gained 7 GB of Free Space. My luck is improving.

    :thumb: Nice!

All my machines are pretty much as they were before the upgrade to 1709.

Krusty, do you use Hibernation? It is turned on with the upgrade. I turn it off and get a few GB of free space.

Nope. Hibernate and Fast Startup are the first things I disabled.

In my case the update also disabled the creating of restoring points. I had to enable it for the system partition.

My clean installed system storage use with Win10 Fall and full Office 2016 up-to-date, 2 accounts and some softwares = 28Gb, not bad :D

I just checked the machines I upgraded and it was still on. It might not hurt for you to run a checkdisk, just in case.

It really does irritate me that they keep turning Fast Startup back on. It helps nothing and causes issues (USB, sound, networking, etc.)

It happens every Win 10 upgrade on my machine since the anniversary upgrade. I guess it is due to the splitted partitions I have.

For me, Fast Startup was enabled back (I disable this feature) but System restore was not turned off. The update deleted old points and created one for before the upgrade to FCU. I remember when I upgraded to Creators what the update did to System restore was different, that time, System restore was turned off and I had to turn it back on.

I have System Restore disabled. It's "usually" still disabled after a Windows upgrade.

Windows 10 version upgrades (a.k.a. "Feature Updates") have always re-enabled restore points (a.k.a. "System Protection") in my own experience, but only on the OS "C:" partition. In addition to disabling it under System Properties configuration settings, there's also an option to delete all existing restore points for each drive.
