    Hi Tarnak,

I couldn't tell you about those command lines. That's more info then I can understand... Are you getting many popups though?

Just tried uninstall 4.06b and whilst that seemed to finish OK I cannot get it to run. The service is uninstalled but can get the client to run.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    Regards, Baldrick

I usually do a clean install but I could not bother this morning.
Installed 4.06 over the top without any issue.

I can't use either 406b or 407b. This is because after installing, VS fails to run in the system tray. The service is running and shows up in the task manager but the other process is missing. I tried a clean install of both but that made no difference. So for me something has changed since 405b.

I see Baldrick had the same problem.

I used to have some issue when installing latest beta over the top, up to 4.05 and usually had to uninstall and do a clean install.
4.06, 4.07 installed over the top with no issues.

I have never had any issue of any kind with any version up to 405 and always did over the top. However 406 wouldn't run so I then did a full uninstall and a clean install of 406 with the same result. Then today did the same with 407 over the top with the same result.

I will wait to see if Dan fixes it in the next version.

    @zarzenz
You may send Dan a report of the issue you are experiencing, he welcomes feed backs. You may have done it already in which case ...:thumb:

Do you happen to know if Dan still looks in here at these posts or maybe he has given up checking here now.

He is very active this days on the other forum. Having said that I doubt he is not peeking in here, that is my gut feeling.
As I said he is welcoming feed backs. I guess for the time being voodooshield support may be the best way of communication. From personal experience he is very obliging when I contact him there (VS support).

Still running beta v4.06. I just started getting these VS popups yesterday for conhost.exe. I kept allowing, but the logs show blocks.

Same experience of repeated popups on the same applications on beta v4.06. Not sure what main changes have been applied (child processes?) but Voodooshield seems to have a life on its own :)
Possibly it has become more secure but to the expense of user friendliness... I have already sent the logs to Dan. I will wait another couple of betas to see if anything will improve. Bugs in betas should be expected.

A lot of this seems to be solved in the latest beta 4.07: http://www.voodooshield.co/Download/InstallVoodooShield407beta.exe
If you still want to test betas...
I would (and did) recommend uninstalling the old version first.

I agree with you. I just wanted to test VS over the top installation method that hardly worked for me before but did for others.;)

I tried to uninstall Voodooshields from v4.06b and it gave me an error message denying the uninstall. So I installed VS v 4.07b over the top and all is running good so far.

I don't like using them, but if you have issues again, (i did) try using Revo's tool or IObits's
using these I have found that even when the built-in fails not only do you get a clean uninstall but
"After" viewing the error log for any important info, once you re-boot all the error logs will be cleaned up too.
There are a few apps or software that require this approach, granted it's not usually VS, but you know what I mean.
    PeAcE :)
