Proxomitron question

    Hope this is the appropriate forum.

    I love this ancient software. Once you filter the web and can control things about headers and get rid of web annoyances, it is hard to live without it.

    It works OK in windows 10 but cannot do SSL pages, at least not well in Chrome. I think the root of the problem is that a certificate is needed and there is no Verisign version due to $$.

    so 2 questions:

    1. Has anyone picked up where Scott left off and updated the software?

    2. I think the answer to #1 is no (looked at Proximodo already, same issues), so is there a good alternative that functions the same ? Steve Gibson has talked about working on a version but it's been many years and I've given up.
